Master Certified Procrastinator Actually Finishes Writing Something
Hello Internet Frans,
I just finished catching up on Summer Camp Island. (I mean, officially, I've never seen it because it's only on HBO Max which isn't available in Canada so how could I ever see it...)

It's one of my favourite animated shows. Also in the top tier: Ruby Gloom, Over the Garden Wall, Bee and Puppycat. What animated shows do you love? One time someone told me I look like a Ruby Gloom character and that's maybe the best compliment on my looks I've ever got.
But I'm not here to write a newsletter about what I'm watching. (But btw- I'm also currently background-watching The Golden Girls and, because I watch things with French subtitles on to like passively help me with my French, I saw that the French title is "Les Craquantes" which translates to "The Crunchy Ones" 😂) I'm writing a newsletter because I wrote something. Something that is not a newsletter. I finished writing a thing that I started writing literally two years ago. No, it's not like a whole book I've been writing for two years, it's something I've been procrastinating writing for two years. Adding bits and ideas every so often, but never committing to finishing it. But now I have! Turns out a little bit of realistic self-imposed deadline plus a little bit of Internet friend accountability (thank you) is the magic formula to get shit done! Also really gotta embrace the "done is better than perfect" mentality. I mean, honestly, it's just a blog post I wanna write, not something I want to publish in like an actual book or share with the world as my magnum opus. (I just Googled that to make sure it was the right phrase and the top search result tells me it has something to do with creating the philosopher's stone, but I'll wait until I'm done writing this to dive into that Wikipedia hole.)
My Formative Films (and their recent counterparts)
I wanted to write about films that were important to me as a teen, the so-called formative years, and recent films I've seen that give me the same feels. A pairing of sorts. It was an emotional writing process, writing about what films mean to me, and realizing I still have the same issues as Teen Tish in some ways. I still need similar films, just grown-up versions. Turns out feeling lonely and misunderstood isn't just for teens!
Well, that was the one lingering thing in my Film Writing folder and to-do list, so I'm glad to get it out of the way. Now, I shall be focusing on writing fairy tale fiction! I have a goal to finish my 13 short stories for my first book by my birthday (Halloween). I have 10 11 to complete so I better get going on that...

Maybe the threat of someone stealing my candy would be good motivation...
Bye 4 now kidz
I'll let you know when I next have made something for you.
