Far away in a land you’ve never heard of and never been to, there is legend of a woman trapped in the sea. Wronged by the man she loved, she sought revenge. But she was caught and punished for her wrongful deeds while the man’s betrayal was never believed. They drowned her in their calm sea and walked away to forget about the evil woman. But their sea was never calm again. A storm brewed in the darkening skies and the water’s smooth surface became rough and crashed onto their shores. The people never had a peaceful sea again. They moved away from the shore and found new ways to live without the sea. Legend has it that the wronged woman still haunts the shore, looking to exact revenge on those who drowned her, but no one dares go near that shore again.
Because the thing about legends is that you don’t have to believe in them for them to be true.

I like the phrase “walk into the sea” for when you want to get out of this terrible world, or suggest someone terrible get out of here. But I thought- who would walk out of the sea?
